CLOSING SUMMER 2023

Perfectly Imperfect

Posted by Angela Proudfoot on

I used to bury those chipped imperfect crystals in bowls of others or deep in the dark dusty corner of my shelf but recently I had a realization that shifted my perspective. I realized that the habit of hiding these flaws was a reflection of a habit within myself, in no way do these unique traits take away form the beauty & healing potential of these ‘imperfect’ gems; in fact, it might just do the opposite. These chips, clouds & cracks are here to remind us that imperfections are a part of life & that nothing is ever perfect... So why do we try so hard to achieve perfection within ourselves? Through accepting beauty in all forms & embracing the power of these perfectly imperfect pieces perhaps we can begin to accept & celebrate ourselves fully, embracing flaws and differences in life.
